Samuel Staples (b. Canada) is an independent curator, writer and researcher based between Berlin and Paris. His work focuses on contemporary image culture, subcultural aesthetics, and hybrid formats between exhibition-making, criticism, and fiction. He has worked on the development and realization of exhibitions with artists including Anna Uddenberg (2022), Jon Rafman (2022), and The Opioid Crisis Lookbook (2024); presented the Berlin launch of The Opioid Crisis Lookbook with Bjarne Melgaard (2022), and contributed to catalogue publications and monographs of artists including Jon Rafman (2026), Tobias Spichtig (2026), Anna Uddenberg (2024), and H.R. Giger & Mire Lee (2022). He previously worked as Curatorial Assistant at Schinkel Pavillon, Berlin (2022-2023). His writing appears in various publications including Texte Zur Kunst and Arcane Press.
