Samuel Staples (b. Canada) is an independent curator, writer, and editor based between Berlin and Paris. His practice spans exhibition-making, criticism, and publishing, with an interest in contemporary art, performance, subculture, and fiction. He has developed exhibitions and publications with artists including Jon Rafman, Tobias Spichtig, Anna Uddenberg, and H.R. Giger, and Mire Lee. From 2022 to 2023, he was Curatorial Assistant at Schinkel Pavillon, Berlin, where he presented the Berlin launch of The Opioid Crisis Lookbook with Bjarne Melgaard. His writing has appeared in TEXTE ZUR KUNST, Arcane Press, and other publications.
